In short
- Sala is a media player. It doesn't include or sell channels, films or subscriptions.
- You are responsible for having the right to what you play.
- Sala is free while it's new. If paid features come, you see the price before you pay, and they unlock app features only.
- Your rights as a consumer always apply.
1. A media player only
Sala plays playlists that you add from a provider you choose. We don't provide, host, sell, link to or recommend any channels, streams, films, series or providers, and we have no relationship with any provider. Everything you watch in Sala comes from the playlist you added, not from us.
Film and series details and images come from TMDB. They describe a title; they don't mean it is available or licensed anywhere. The demo uses public-domain films and test streams so you can try the app; it isn't a content service.
2. Your content, your responsibility
You alone are responsible for the playlists you add and for what you play, including making sure you have the right to watch it where you live. Don't use Sala to watch or share content you aren't entitled to.
We don't check, endorse or control what a playlist contains, and we aren't responsible for it, for your provider or for their service. Questions and complaints about a stream belong with the provider.
3. Your licence to use Sala
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Sala on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms. You may not:
- sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Sala, or bundle it with a playlist or subscription;
- present Sala as part of an IPTV service, or as endorsed by one;
- copy, modify or reverse-engineer Sala, except where the law allows it;
- overload, scrape or interfere with our servers, or use them other than through Sala.
Sala, its name, logo and design belong to us. Sala builds on open-source software, including webOS IPTV Player under the Apache License 2.0. Those parts stay under their own licences, which are listed in the app's NOTICE file and take precedence for those parts.
4. Other services
Sala uses TMDB for film and series details, OpenSubtitles for online subtitles and YouTube for trailers. Their terms apply to their content, and they can change or stop a service at any time, so we can't promise these features will always work.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. LG, webOS and LG Content Store are trademarks of LG Electronics. Sala isn't made or endorsed by LG.
5. Price
Sala is free while it's new. We may later offer paid features, such as a subscription. If we do:
- the price, what it includes, how it renews and how to cancel are shown before you pay;
- you are never charged unless you choose to buy;
- if a feature you use for free is going to need payment, we say so on this site before that happens;
- a purchase unlocks app features only. It never includes, or gives access to, channels, streams or any other content.
6. Withdrawal and refunds
This section applies once paid features exist.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For digital content or a service that starts straight away, that right can end earlier, but only if you expressly asked for it to start within the 14 days and acknowledged that you would lose the right. If that applies, we ask you clearly at checkout.
To withdraw, write to support@salaiptv.com with your order details. We refund within 14 days of hearing from you, using the payment method you paid with. A subscription can also be cancelled at any time, and it then ends at the close of the period you have paid for.
Beyond this, refunds are at our discretion. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights, including the right of withdrawal and your remedies if Sala doesn't work as described.
7. Copyright notices
Sala contains no content, so we can't remove a stream, channel or film from a provider's service. Notices about those belong with the provider or its host.
We do take rights seriously. If you believe that Sala, this website, an app store listing or anything else we publish infringes your rights, or that someone is misusing Sala's name, write to support@salaiptv.com with:
- the work or right concerned, and who holds it;
- where the material is, with a link or a description;
- your name and contact details, and whom you act for;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, and that your notice is accurate.
We review every notice and act on valid ones without undue delay.
8. Our official site
salaiptv.com is Sala's only website. We never sell channels or playlists, and we never ask for payment by WhatsApp, Telegram or similar. Anyone who does isn't us.
9. Availability
Sala is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running, but we don't promise that it is free of errors, always available, or works with every provider, stream, format or TV. We may change, suspend or end features, the app or our servers. If that affects something you paid for, your statutory rights apply.
10. Liability
As far as Danish and EU law allows:
- we aren't liable for the content you play, for your provider's service, or for other companies' services;
- we aren't liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit or lost data;
- our total liability is limited to what you paid us for Sala in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any liability that mandatory law doesn't allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer.
11. Ending
You can stop using Sala at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you break these terms, for example by using Sala to distribute content or by misusing our servers. What these terms say about responsibility, liability and the law still applies afterwards.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when paid features arrive. The new version appears here with a new date, and an important change is announced on this site before it applies. If you keep using Sala after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, stop using Sala. A purchase you have already made stays under the terms you bought it under.
13. Law and disputes
Danish law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can take a dispute to the courts there. Otherwise the Danish courts decide.
Please write to us first; most things are solved by email. If we can't agree, a consumer can complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board through Nævnenes Hus (naevneneshus.dk). Consumers in other EU countries can also get help from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
